Ponet St Auban is a small village five miles to Die in the Drome. The temple dates from the thirteenth century. It is situated across from the chapel of the castle that is currently above the building.
Temple Ponet, like that of Die, is the property of the parish Reformed Die.
The story goes that in 1659, under the Edict of Nantes, "the lord of Ponet wanted to close the temple, off his chair and destroy its galleries. Pastor Abraham complained Achard the Priests' Council of Die which sent a notary to the Lord to show him that he had no right because the temple was in time carried by the Edict ... " Communities of Ponet and St. Aubari-were united in the late 17th century, but until the Revolution, their inhabitants were of nobles different depending on whether they lived on one side or the other of the Drôme. Ponet, on the right bank, and Saint-Auban on the left bank, merged into a single municipality in 1790.
Without bridge had to go through the Drôme Die Ponet to get from St. Auban. . Toponymy religious {ravine of the Church of the gully and neck Rosaries) said the installation of monks in the valley of Saint-Auban in the 12th century. Ponet belonged to the bishops of the family and then Die Urre 15th. In 1644, the entire population of the town was Protestant.
The village currently has 89 people following the installation of young couples.
The restoration of the temple began in 2006 under the responsibility of the Association and under the control of the Heritage of the Drôme. The various restaurants are now Cros and old roofing, Laurent Oddos for the nave with Greta Die, the shop-Jouve Malfato for the choir, the stained glass Chilibroste for business and for outside Chauvinc.
The windows of Ponet would combine both the historical and spiritual past of the place with the current use and any wider public. So we opted for the non-representational, allowing light to pass up and referring to local symbols: the vine, water and cross.

Ponet was placed under the protection of a bishop until 1792. Which confirms the dating of the eighteenth century decor. We have other ideas for later, especially the creation of a trail "sculptural" around the village with an outdoor exhibit of artists. The purpose of this operation, in addition to heritage protection, is reclaiming the site by the villagers and an overall upgrading of the site.
